Feudenheim

Half-timbering, lanes and a river at the door: Feudenheim on the eastern bank of the Neckar has kept its village character like almost no other Mannheim district. The historic centre with its small lanes and inns invites a stroll, while the Feudenheimer Au offers a broad riverside recreation area for walking, cycling and relaxing. Here the Neckar is not an industrial waterway but leisure space: a cycle path runs along the bank all the way to Heidelberg, and in summer residents sit with a view of the water. The building stock is mostly small-scale, with one- and two-family houses and plenty of greenery between the streets. The tram reaches the city center in around a quarter of an hour. Quiet, green and family-friendly, Feudenheim counts as one of the most liveable districts in the city.
