Old industrial architecture, new use: Restaurant Marly occupies a converted grain warehouse on the Rhine harbour and shares the building with the Speicher7 hotel. High ceilings, raw concrete and the view over the harbour basin set the frame, while the kitchen works at an elevated level. The Jungbusch location is part of the point: cranes and warehouses stand outside the door, and the nightlife quarter around the Pop Academy begins a few streets away. The Squares are a good ten minutes on foot. If you do not want the evening to end there, a bar is easy to find nearby - a combination that is rare in Mannheim.
