Tucked into a side street in Neckarstadt, the Osteria Limoni is one of Mannheim's best-known small Italian addresses. It has been running since the 1990s and deliberately keeps the menu short: much of the pasta is made in house, alongside fish and meat dishes, and pizza is available too. In summer guests sit in the planted courtyard, which is barely visible from the street. The place is small, so booking pays off. If you are exploring Neckarstadt anyway, this makes a fitting break between the Alter Messplatz and the residential quarter.
